Sad news today that Christophe Decarnin & Balmain have parted company. The rumours began when Christophe failed to close his show at Paris Fashion Week last month. Decarnin joined Balmain in 2005 as a designer and was named creative director for the women's ready-to-wear collection in November 2007. His signature style for the label has been perfectly described as 'haute rock'n roll'.

Perhaps a move to another currently-without-a-designer couture house is on the cards or we'll see Decarnin launch his own label. Either way I'm looking forward to what he does next - go Christophe!!
